Kitchen display update: live status sync with the merchant dashboard and a more reliable order board

With this kitchen display update, the floor and the kitchen look at the same picture. When a cook starts an order or marks it ready, the merchant dashboard shows the new status at once, so the manager and the runner don't have to walk to the pass to ask.

Every move on the kitchen board, from Start cooking to Order ready, now reaches the orders list in the merchant dashboard live.

A more reliable order board

New orders reach the board through a new shared live connection that the QR menu and the dashboard also use, so a ticket doesn't go missing at the start of a rush.

Two fixes make the board steadier day to day:

• Dishes without add-ons. A dish with no add-ons could stop the board from showing. It now loads normally.

• Accounts with several venues. A sign-in problem for these accounts is fixed.

How to get it

The update is live on every kitchen screen; reload the page once if a tablet has been open for days. The kitchen display is part of the Kitchen service on plans that include it.
